The Kills: The Midnight Prowlers

By on March 6, 2025

As dusk settled at 5:30 PM on Right Field, The Kills slinked onstage, the duo of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince dripping with raw charisma. Born from a transatlantic partnership (Florida and London), their garage-rock pulse has throbbed since the early 2000s. They’re famous for “Future Starts Slow,” a brooding banger from 2011’s Blood Pressures.

Alison prowled the stage, her voice a feral howl on “U.R.A. Fever,” while Jamie’s guitar slashed the twilight. “Future Starts Slow” was a hypnotic pulse, the crowd locked in its sway, and “Doing It to Death” closed their hour with a primal kick.
