The Gin Blossoms rock Extra Innings Festival in their hometown of Tempe, Arizona
The Gin Blossoms are one of the most enduring bands of the 90s alternative rock scene. Their catchy melodies, jangly guitars and honest lyrics have earned them a loyal fan base and a place in the history of American music. The band’s breakthrough album, New Miserable Experience, spawned several hits, including “Hey Jealousy”, “Found Out About You” and “Until I Fall Away”.
The album sold over four million copies and was certified quadruple platinum. The band followed up with another successful album, Congratulations I’m Sorry, which featured the singles “Follow You Down” and “As Long As It Matters”.
The band broke up in 1997, but reunited in 2002 and have since released three more albums. The Gin Blossoms are still touring and making music, proving that they are more than just a nostalgia act. They are a band that has evolved and matured, while staying true to their roots and their fans. Tempe, Arizona has renamed a street after their song, “Allison Road.”
