Muscadine Bloodline on Two Step Inn’s Big River Stage

By on May 4, 2026

Muscadine Bloodline stepped onto the Big River Stage at 2:30 p.m. on April 18, 2026, and the early afternoon crowd in Georgetown, Texas, settled into the kind of set that feels like a front-porch conversation with a twist of rock energy. The Alabama duo brings a signature blend of earnest country storytelling and Southern-rock drive—songs rooted in small-town life, family, and hard-won lessons—that cut through the festival noise with sincerity and groove. In today’s independent country scene, they stand out for staying true to their Gulf Coast origins while building a devoted following one honest lyric at a time.

From Mobile Roots to National Recognition

Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton formed Muscadine Bloodline in early 2016. Their breakthrough came with the 2016 platinum-certified single “Porch Swing Angel,” which has since surpassed 100 million streams and remains a fan favorite. The duo has released multiple acclaimed albums, including *Teenage Dixie* (2023), *The Coastal Plain* (2024), its companion *…And What Was Left Behind* (2025), and the recent *Longleaf Lo-fi* (late 2025). Along the way they earned their first ACM Duo of the Year nomination, made their Grand Ole Opry debut, and shared stages with artists like Eric Church, Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and the Red Clay Strays. Independent through and through, they continue to headline sold-out shows and build momentum with new music that feels both fresh and familiar.

Their Set on the Big River Stage

Positioned early on the festival’s main Big River Stage—reserved for headliners and major rising stars—the duo and band delivered a confident, storytelling-heavy performance that had the growing crowd fully engaged. They opened with newer cuts and moved through a mix of fan favorites, letting the harmonies and guitar work shine in the open-air setting. The set captured the band’s live reputation for high-energy yet heartfelt delivery, with the audience singing along on the big choruses.

The Two Step Inn festival took place at scenic San Gabriel Park in Georgetown, Texas, just north of Austin. The park’s live oaks and open spaces create a laid-back, community feel that sets it apart from bigger productions. Three stages catered to different tastes—Pony Up for emerging artists, Showdeo for established favorites, and Big River for the heavier hitters—while local food vendors and plenty of room to roam added to the welcoming vibe. Day 1 started strong under clear skies before afternoon storms rolled in and forced the cancellation of the remaining performances after Kaitlin Butts’ set at 5:30 p.m.

Why Muscadine Bloodline’s Live Shows Hit Different

Muscadine Bloodline may have started as a local Alabama act, but their Big River set showed why they’ve earned a loyal following across the country. With songs that feel pulled from real life and a band that locks in tight, their performances offer that satisfying mix of energy and emotion that makes you want to stick around for the next one. If their brand of rootsy, independent country speaks to you, their growing 2026 tour schedule—including the Longleaf Lo-fi Tour dates—gives plenty of chances to catch them doing what they do best in venues big and small. We’ve seen them already this year, and have them at least one more time this season. High Energy.
