Jack’s Mannequin: The Piano-Punk Revival
The Right Field Stage lit up at 3:05 PM with Jack’s Mannequin, the brainchild of Andrew McMahon, a SoCal native whose piano-driven alt-rock has tugged heartstrings since the mid-2000s. Famous for “The Mixed Tape” from their debut Everything in Transit, Jack’s Mannequin blends emo vulnerability with anthemic hooks, a legacy reignited by this rare reunion.

Andrew sat at his piano, a grin splitting his face, and pounded out “Dark Blue,” the crowd roaring as if it were 2005 again. “The Mixed Tape” was a bittersweet singalong, hands waving like lighters in the breeze, while “La La Lie” closed their hour-long set with a surge of catharsis. It was a homecoming of sorts, a reminder of why these songs still echo in dorm rooms and car stereos.

Partial Setlist:
- “Dark Blue”
- “The Mixed Tape”
- “Holiday from Real”
- “I’m Ready”
- “La La Lie”
