Grouplove Delivers Joyful Indie Rock at Innings Festival Day 1
Grouplove brought their signature anthemic indie rock and infectious dual-vocal energy to the Innings Festival on Friday, February 20, 2026. Starting at 4:25 p.m. on the Home Plate Stage at Tempe Beach Park, the Los Angeles band stood out with their catchy hooks and feel-good stage presence, offering festival-goers a lively reminder of how uplifting, guitar-driven music can still shine brightly in today’s indie scene. I’ve seen them before, in Indianapolis a couple years back, opening for P!nk, so I was looking forward to this short set.

Band Background
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Grouplove formed in 2009 and has been active for more than 15 years. The group first came together after members met at an artist residency and quickly built a reputation for energetic live shows and melodic songwriting.

The band members are:
- Christian Zucconi – lead vocals, rhythm guitar and piano
- Hannah Hooper – lead vocals, percussion and keyboards
- Andrew Wessen – lead guitar and backing vocals
- Daniel Gleason – bass guitar
- Benjamin Homola – drums and percussion
Signature songs include “Tongue Tied,” “Ways to Go,” “Colours,” “Deleter,” and “Itchin’ on a Photograph.” The band is known for festival appearances over the years and for “Tongue Tied” appearing in commercials, television, and films. Their Innings Festival set included a full-band live debut of the track “Shush.”
