Artist Background

Born Tyler Perry and raised in suburban Rhode Island, Tyler Ballgame moved to Los Angeles several years ago and built his project around a charismatic crooner persona inspired by Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, and Harry Nilsson. He emerged on the LA circuit in the mid-2020s, signed with Rough Trade Records in May 2025, and released his debut album For The First Time, Again on January 30, 2026. The 12-track record blends classic rock, indie, and Americana with strong melodic hooks and personal lyrics about love, identity, and self-belief.
