Eve 6 Delivers Classic Alternative Rock Energy at Innings Festival 2026

By on March 5, 2026

Under the warm Arizona sun at Tempe Beach Park, Eve 6 brought their signature punchy alternative rock to the Right Field Stage for a 3:20 p.m. set on Day 3 of Innings Festival 2026. I’m not familiar with this band, but I liked what I saw. With Max Collins’ distinctive vocals and the band’s tight, hook-filled sound, the performance reminded everyone why their late-’90s hits still feel fresh and urgent in today’s music scene — clever lyrics wrapped in high-energy guitar riffs that connect instantly with longtime fans and new listeners alike.

Formed in 1995 in La Crescenta-Montrose, California, Eve 6 has been active for more than 25 years, with a hiatus from 2004 to 2007 before reuniting and continuing steadily since. Fronted by singer and bassist Max Collins, the band broke through with their 1998 self-titled debut album, which went platinum and launched them into the spotlight.

Signature songs include the massive hits “Inside Out,” “Here’s to the Night,” “Leech,” and “Promise,” along with fan favorites like “Open Road Song” and “Anytime.” The group has released six studio albums, earned RIAA certifications, and built a reputation for energetic live shows at festivals and tours across the country. There have been no substantial lineup changes in the past few years — the current trio has remained stable and collaborative since 2018, a continuity that longtime fans can appreciate.

It’s kind of nice to hear a band that has grown up alongside its audience yet still delivers the same raw enthusiasm they had as teenagers. Crowd reaction showed Eve 6’s Innings Festival set captured that perfectly — a crisp, no-frills afternoon of familiar anthems (to some) and deeper cuts that had a nice feel. If their tour dates ever line up with your plans, it’s the kind of show that reinforces why these songs have lasted: they’re honest and fun.
