Godsmack, STP and Dorothy take on the heat wave in Syracuse, NY
Fans in Syracuse, NY came out in the extreme heat on Tuesday June 30th for the 2026 Rise of Rock Tour. Godsmack headlined with Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy.

Dorothy had an electric set. There was so much energy on stage despite the heat and humidity. Dorothy and her band performed flawlessly with smiles and appeared to be enjoying their time on stage.
Stone Temple Pilots (STP) got the crowd engaged from the second they arrived on stage. Lead singer Jeff Gutt strutted across the stage with an angsty energy he no doubt learned from studying performances of Scott Weiland. Gutt brought Weilands energy and swagger to the stage in a way that paid tribute to the original line up. The crowd loved the performance singing along with every word.

What Dorothy and STP did for the crowd and on stage, Godsmack set on fire. Lead singer Sully Erna was loud, and in your face. Erna did not hold back. The crowd belted out the lyrics along with him. The heat only lessened slightly as the sun went down. Godsmack performed with the same level of energy as if it were an air-conditioned arena.
