Toby Keith planning to tour after pushing through cancer diagnosis

Toby Keith is making plans to get back on the road amid his recovery from stomach cancer. “I’m feeling pretty good. Basically, everything is in a real positive trend,” the country singer, 61, told The Oklahoman earlier this month. “You never know with cancer, so you have to prepare.” 1

Keith opened up about his recent return to the stage and revealed if he plans to tour again in his first televised interview since revealing his stomach cancer diagnosis. Keith sat down with CMT Hot 20 Countdown’s Cody Alan for a rare interview while at the 2022 BMI Country Awards, where he was being honored with the BMI Icon Award2

Keith is a very popular country music singer and songwriter who has released many hit songs over the years. Some of his most popular songs include “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “How Do You Like Me Now?!”, “Beer for My Horses,” and “I Love This Bar.

While he became famous around the “Bro Country” time, this example shows that Keith has some bona fide chops.
