Sting and Paul Simon Touring Together
Websites are reporting that Sting and Paul Simon are going to be touring together, performing their own hits and some duets as well.
Rolling Stone states, “The pair will announce a joint North American tour called “Paul Simon and Sting: On Stage Together” tomorrow, according to the New York Times. It will last for 18 dates from February 8th through March 16th, including a March 4th appearance at New York’s Madison Square Garden, with the possibility of more dates to come.
“We don’t really know where this is going,” Sting told the Times. “We don’t really have a clue how this is going to pan out.”
The pair previously performed together at a benefit in May for the Robin Hood Foundation. There, they performed acoustic versions of the Simon and Garfunkel song “The Boxer” and Sting’s “Fields of Gold.” About that appearance, Simon told the Times, “After we finished it, we both looked at each other and said, ‘Wow. That’s pretty interesting.'”
