Sib Hashian, Former Drummer for Boston, Dies at 67
Sib Hashian, drummer on the first two Boston albums, has died unexpectedly. It has been reported that Hashian, who was 67 and part of the Legends of Rock Cruise currently sailing in the Caribbean, collapsed while performing onstage. The Cruise featured several classic rock artists including: Lou Gramm, John Cafferty, Kevin Chalfant, Mark Lindsey, Hybrid Ice, and fellow Boston bandmate Barry Goudreau.
John Thomas “Sib” Hashian joined Boston in 1975, replacing original drummer Jim Masdea. After leaving the band Hashian continued his career, often playing alongside other Boston former members. Outside of the music world, he was involved in several business ventures including tanning salons and music stores.
Hashian is survived by his wife Suzanne and children, Lauren, Aja, and Adam.
Easy Journey Sib.
