Nikki Sixx passes away 32 years ago today
Yes, it’s clickbait, but did you know that Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx passed away 32 years ago today?
On Dec. 22, 1987, Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx overdosed on heroin and when the medics got him to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Doctors revived him by giving him two shots of adrenaline in his chest. The events inspired Motley Crue’s hit song “Kickstart My Heart”.
You can read about this story and other wild antics of the entire CRUE in Sixx’s book, “The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star” available at Amazom.com
