Eliot Lewis Photo Gallery Part 1
Eliot Lewis is an American rock, R&B and soul singer, keyboardist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, songwriter, and producer. He is best known for his work with Average White Band and Daryl Hall & John Oates, and is one of the original featured members on the super cool series “Live from Daryl’s House.” His contributions stand out on some of the best moments from the show including performances with Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren,Train, Grace Potter, Ben Folds, Booker T, Jewel, Rob Thomas, Keb Mo, Jason Mraz, Darius Rucker, Gavin DeGraw and many, many others.
While he often plays keyboards on tour with Daryl and John, on his solo tours he plays the guitar with the concentration of a surgeon. The particular photo gallery below was shot in 2014, while Eliot shared the stage with the legendary group Boston, however we just caught up with him this year on the final show of the Daryl Hall and John Oates tour in Indianapolis at Klipsch Music Center on July 24, touring with Trombone Shorty and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.
“Eliot is a musician who can do it all, great singer, songwriter and guitarist. He rocks and he’s got soul. No one does it quite like him” – Daryl Hall
Certainly with his history, Eliot Lewis is, without question, a rock star in his own right, but you’d never know it. He walked out before the show for a quick visit with this writer to discuss the tour, mutual friends, and new technology in cameras. An acclaimed photographer himself who takes a photo of the crowd at the end of every show, Eliot also wanted to meet the other photographers at the venue, as well as Kimmy Adamson, Marketing Manager and all around miracle worker from Live Nation before the band took the stage.
Touring the country also as a solo artist, Eliot has released many of his own guitar driven CDs including the brand new “ADVENTURE” available 10/28, pre-order now at www.eliotlewis.com. Give a listen to the title track, below the small gallery with Eliot and renowned drummer Tyger MacNeal.
